Red Ink: March 2024 Saw 6 Of 10 Mainstream News Websites Lose Traffic

While so many in the news media are turning to websites and other online platforms for revenue, only 2 of the top 10 mainstream news media pages and only 4 of the overall top ten webpages posted positive growth in traffic so far in 2024 according to and analysis in the News Gazette.

Once again, the New York Times, the current leader in paid subscribers with over 39 million carved out a lead of nearly 100 million visits over his competitor from CNN which trailed the Times by nearly 100 million visits or roughly 20-25% in just the month of March 2024 alone.
