Global Energy Production Dominated By China According To Recent Analysis
According to an ongoing analysis by World Population Review of global energy production, China is currently producing and consuming almost 40% more energy than the domestic American economy as a whole in 2022.
China used 159.39 exajoules of power in 2022 while the United States consumed 95.91 exajoules (EJ) with both economies well ahead of any other country in terms of energy demand.
While all major economies continue to expand energy production, the advanced economies of the United States, Japan, Canada, Germany, and others are converting to renewable energy sources at a much faster rate than China, Brazil, India, and others.
