Shortest Recession In History... Back To Work... Hopefully!

Of all the challenges, frustrations, and tragedies of the last 16 months, the sterling achievement of the American economy was to weather all of that with the shortest recession ever recorded, officially just two months.

In all but the most extraordinary circumstances, to qualify as a recession, a downturn must last two consecutive economic quarters or approximately six consecutive calendar months before being recognized as a recession, by the period between March 2020 and early May 2020 were some of the most extraordinary circumstances ever faced by modern culture.

Much like in the Great Recession of late 2007 to approximately mid 2009, and other recessions, the recovery is as much of a story as the initial downturn, and clearly for much of the economy, we are still in recovery and we will keep you updated. Here are more details.
