Manufacturing Activity Turns Negative In July For First Time Since Lockdowns

Standard and Poors Global reports that for the period from July 6 - 21 that manufacturing activity in America soured sharply into negative territory for the first time since the lockdown economic disruptions of May 2020.

In addition to a roughly 10% drop month over month in manufacturer activity, orders improved modestly from June 2022’s number which constituted a two year low in order activity.
