California's Coast Hosts Another Scientific Space Launch As SpaceX Launches Satellite Into Orbit

The European Space Agency’s EarthCARES satellite was put into orbit from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base on May 27 aboard a Falcon 9 first stage rocket that has flown 7 times before according to SpaceFlightNow.com reporting of data from SpaceX.

As part of the SpaceX mission, the Falcon 9 first stage booster landed at Vandenberg roughly 8 minutes later performing the 314th booster rocket landing in history.
